Cajun Beer Bread

Adapted from Homemade Gourmet




1    Homemade Gourmet® Basic Bread Mix 

1  cup  shredded cheddar or cheese of your choice 

1  12-ounce can  beer * 

1/2  cup  chopped red onion 

1/2  stick  butter, melted 

1    jalapeño, finely chopped 



1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 ½” x 5″ loaf pan.


2. Prepare bread recipe using beer, (*milk can not be used).


3. Stir in shredded cheese, beer, red onion and jalapeño pepper.


4. Place mixture in a loaf pan. Pour melted butter over the bread and bake on a cookie sheet Bake for 50 minutes until golden brown.
